Dear Friends and Visitors,

I warmly welcome you to Cambridge School’s website. Cambridge was founded in 2001 on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity for an excellent education. We are committed to providing that opportunity for children who learn differently. Cambridge School strives to be a happy and energetic community that stimulates enthusiasm, curiosity and the involvement of the children in their education.  Everything about Cambridge School focuses on the needs of our students.  Most of our students have experienced frustration in learning.  They are students of average to superior intelligence, but their learning issues have kept them from reaching their full potential in traditional educational settings.

Our education is truly child-centered.  We put the needs of our students first -- introducing new ways of learning, building on successful learning experiences, helping each student master small tasks and then fit them together for mastery of larger tasks.  We focus on educational opportunities that address each student’s individual learning style.  Our teachers are caring professionals with many years of experience and specialized training that is on-going.  Our classes are small, our environment warm and nurturing.  Cambridge is a place where our children not only learn language skills, but also discover their love of learning.

Our students come here to acquire new skills.  We help them regain confidence and self-esteem.  We seek to stimulate their powers of curiosity and imagination.  Our goal is to prepare each student with the necessary academic, personal and social skills to succeed in high school.

We believe that parental involvement is critical: it is a vital component in providing a meaningful and fulfilling educational experience for our students.  With that in mind, we work in partnership with parents in the education of their children.
