Admission Process
The Admission process is designed to determine the applicant’s appropriateness for placement at Cambridge School. Only when the right match exists between the Mission of the School and the needs of the Student can Cambridge best serve the child. Cambridge School is not able to offer placement to those students with primary emotional and/or behavioral issues.
Once you have received our admission materials and have had the opportunity to peruse the enclosed information:
- Call the Admission Office at 609-730-9553 to schedule a parent tour and class visit. These informational visits are offered Monday through Thursday mornings at 8:15am. We recommend that both parents and/or guardians attend this meeting.
- After the parent tour and class visit, please send the following information to the Admission Office:
- Completed Admission Application

- $475 Non-refundable Fee. This includes, administrative cost, reviewing all reports and evaluations, interviews and Baseline Placement Testing of the candidate which includes: Diagnostic Assessment of Reading (DAR) / Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT) and Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test III (PPVTIII)
**Supporting Documents include all recently administered Educational and Psychological Testing Reports, an Achievement Battery to include reading, math and written language assessments with updated norms, and School Records including Individual Educational Plans (I.E.P.)
- After review of the above materials, the Admission Office will call to schedule a screening session and administer the Baseline Placement Test to your child.
- The Director of Admission will meet with parents immediately after screening to discuss the results of the Baseline Placement Test.
- Shortly thereafter an offer for placement will be extended to appropriate candidates in the form of an acceptance letter. We try our best to let families know during their initial contact if we feel Cambridge School is not the right placement for your child; however, sometimes this is not apparent until later in the process. In these instances, families will be notified as soon as possible.
